Judicial authorities in Russia: a systemic crisis of independence
The report analyses real, not nominal, models of judicial decision-making and schemes for manipulating judges. For this purpose, a sample survey was carried out by the telephone interview method, among experts representing those engaged in executive authorities, judicial bodies, the legal profession and law protection societies, both in Russia and abroad.

Vladimir Putin?s Second Presidential Term And The Coming Campaign Of De-Oligarchisation - Possible Scenarios
Our study provides an extensive examination of expectations regarding Putin?s second term and a forecast of the Kremlin?s future policies toward the oligarchy. The project will expand to poll Russian and international experts, analyse Russian media reports and examine further statistical data. A full report will be issued in July.
Our analysis to date reveals the logic behind the Kremlin?s de-oligarchisation policy and provides important indications as to the methods and directions it is likely to assume.

Perception of Western Specialists on Current Situation in Russia
KRC Research was commissioned by Russian Axis to conduct a survey of professionals in the the West (US and UK) with an interest in Russia and of like-minded western professionals based in Moscow working for western companies.
The professionals surveyed for this project included investment analysts and advisers specialising on emerging markets (in-house and consultants), legal advisers and lawyers who have experience in supporting commercial operations in Russia, and political analyst, academics, media, and NGOs specialising on post-Soviet states.

The victory of Vladimir Putin in the recent Presidential elections has largely turned out to be a non-event. His triumph was assured since campaigning commenced. The incumbent operated in a benign political environment with hardly any serious rivals, or challengers with equal access to resources ? media or otherwise. Such was the confidence in the final result that many feared this would result in such a low voter-turnout that would lead to the vote being declared void by the Central Election Commission.
